POCH contributes to the sustainable development of different industries. Our purpose is to minimize risks, reduce costs, facilitate access to new markets and credit, strengthen the brand and the relationship with stakeholders, offering solutions and mitigating the social conflicts of our customers.
It is for this reason that we develop, implement and communicate sustainability strategies related to the challenges of Climate Change, Sustainable Production and Energy and facilitate relationships with communities.
Carbon management: GHG inventories at the national and local levels. We elaborate the quantification of GHG emissions and carbon footprint for a company or product, projections of GHG emissions, cost curves and reduction and finally, carbon management, which include compensation and neutralization alternatives.
Carbon market: quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions. We are also present in the processing of projects under the clean development mechanism and the voluntary market.
Public Policy Development: We support government institutions in identifying public policies on climate change and meeting commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). In this regard, POCH is a pioneer in the design and implementation of National Actions for Appropriate Mitigation (NAMAs) and in their respective Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems.
We deliver technical support and specialized consultancy to the public and private sector in:
Energy management: We offer optimal management of energy, correct management and energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy. In addition, we have initiatives that aim at market development, promotion of the implementation of public policies, energy management standards such as ISO 50001, training and knowledge transfer.
Sustainable Building: Development of sustainable buildings through an integrated design and construction process. This allows incorporating site-related sustainability criteria, energy and water use efficiency, improvement of indoor environmental quality, selection of sustainable materials and waste management. This is done by supporting the project throughout its stages: from design to start-up. In addition, we accompany projects that pursue LEED Certification through documentation and certificate processing.
We strengthen social sustainability in our clients’ projects, supporting the integration between business management and social management with the community, workers and the environment, all these areas sensitive to public opinion and the communities involved.
